Ben leads the application development efforts at MSI. He is most interested in high-performance computing, genetic algorithms, and algorithms used for quantum mechanics calculations.

Mark has worked at 3M, and General Dynamics before coming to MSI. His main interests are in grid computing, 3-D graphics, and GPGPU programming. He is currently the lead developer for the TROPIX project.

John received his Masters degree in Compter Science from the University of Minnesota. His interests include statistics, machine learning algorithms, functional programming languages, and teaching.

Wen Dong is a web interface programmer. Her main job is to develop database systems for individual research groups at the University of Minnesota.

In addition to the developers listed above, many other members of the system and user support staff contribute to the software development efforts at MSI. Below are staff that have major contributions to the software projects described.

Zheng Jin Tu is the manager for the CGL and the SDML. He helps develop and maintain many of the database projects.
