In solid organ transplant research, many randomized clinical trials are conducted. These researchers have written a program in FORTRAN 77 that has allowed them to carry out the random assignment of various treatments to their study patients. In the past, this randomization program has been run on the University of Minnesota's NOS computer system. However, the NOS computer system was recently shut down, and since that time, these researchers have been exploring various other options. Because of the need to access the IMSL Library, these researchers are continuing their investigations with Supercomputing Institute resources.
