Catherine M. Verfaillie, Principal Investigator

Stem Cell Research

The objective of this project is to study stem cell behavior, including proliferation, differentiation, and possibly “de-differentiation” to further the understanding of the potential of stem cells to improve human and animal health. This involves basis research into genetics and genomics, developmental biology, cell biology, and the physiology of stem cells and their differentiated progeny. The researchers are using the resources of the Computational Genetics Laboratory for this project.
