All activities were held at the Hubert H. Humphrey Center except for the
Wednesday night registration and reception and the Thursday night reception,
banquet, and panel discussion which were held at the Whitney Hotel.

Overview
The workshop on Languages and compilers for Parallel Computing has been a forum for leading research groups in the USA, Erope and Japan to present their current research activities and the latest results. It has also been a place for these groups to closely interact and to exchange ideas about the future directions.

Initiated in 1988, the workshop has been held annually in the past. The hosts have included the University of Cornell, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of California at Irvine, Intel Corporation, and University of MInnesota's Department of Computer Science and Supercomputing Institute in 1997.
