User Group Conference (ScicomP8)

August 5–8, 2003

University of Minnesota Supercomputing Institute

The Supercomputing Institute is hosting ScicomP8 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, August 5–8, 2003.

ScicomP is an international organization of scientific and technical users of IBM systems. Its purpose is to share information about software tools and techniques for developing scientific applications that achieve maximum performance and scalability on systems, and to gather and provide feedback to IBM to influence the evolution of their systems.

To further these goals, ScicomP holds periodic meetings that include technical presentations by IBM staff and users, focusing on recent results and advanced techniques. The conference will also include discussions of problems with scientific systems in order to provide advisory notifications to IBM staff detailing the problems and possible solutions.
