The University of Minnesota Supercomputing Institute seeks to hire a person with a programming background to join a dynamic group that provides a high-level support for researchers in scientific computation. This is a two-year appointment to work on a sponsored project in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic. The Supercomputing Institute has multiple high-performance computing systems, including a new IBM BladeCenter with 1180 cores, an IBM Power4 system with 344 processors, an SGI Altix with 436 processors, a Linux Cluster with 156 processors, and a 2048-core SGI Altix XE.
