SGI Altix Cluster

MSI's SGI Altix resource is a collection of SGI Altix systems. The systems vary in size, ranging from 6 to 256 processors, to accommodate a number of different job topologies. Unlike MSI other resources, the Altix resource is not strictly a cluster, as a single job cannot span multiple nodes. However, each node is relatively large compared to the nodes in other MSI resources and can accommodate very large shared-memory jobs.
