Calhoun is an SGI Altix XE 1300 Linux cluster. The cluster consists of 256 SGI Altix XE 300 compute nodes, each containing two quad-core 2.66 GHz Intel Xeon "Clovertown"-class processors sharing 16 GB of main memory. In total, Calhoun consists of 2048 compute cores and 4TB of main memory.
