A Successful Open House!
MSI held an open house on April 23, 2008 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. to increase awareness of our services throughout the University of Minnesota community and to showcase the work of the researchers who use our resources. All members of the University community and their guests were invited to this free event.
Activities included talks, software demonstrations and visual simulations in MSI's Scientific Development and Visualization Laboratory, a live demonstration of interactive supercomputing in the new MSI-Laboratory for Computational Science and Engineering (LCSE) Visualization Laboratory, tours of the MSI machine room where our supercomputers reside, and more.

Poster session
As an additional part of the open house, MSI hosted a poster session open to all researchers currently utilizing MSI resources. The session was judged and prizes awarded for the best posters.
