For MSI managed Unix / Linux machines, the Citrix ICA Client has already been installed. You will only need to configure it to logon to the sdvlapp1. The setup includes:

MSI managed Unix / Linux machines Citrix ICA Client Configuration

Using the configuration information from above, you will need to add an ICA connections. The screens below will walk you through setting up an ICA connection to the sdvlapp1:

Type 'module load citrix'. Then type 'wfcmgr'. This will execute the Unix / Linux Citrix ICA Client.

From the Entry Menu select 'New'.

Click 'Server' and enter sdvlapp1.msi.umn.edu and name it sdvlapp1.

You should now see a new icon for the sdvlapp1 connection you have just created.

Click 'Entry | Properties'.

Select 'Connection', and choose the 'Encrytion level "RC5(128 bit).

Once you have connections ready in Citrix, you can now logon to the sdvlapp1. When you select a connection you will see a screen similar to the one below which looks like a normal Windows 2000 logon screen.

Once you have logged on, you will get a desktop similar to the one below which looks like a standard Windows XP client. You are ready to use sdvlapp1 applications.
