FAST: Scripts

FAST records a complete history of a session. This can be saved in a file at any time. To save the history, Pull the "Viewer" menu of the "Viewer" module down to "Save-Restore" then slide the mouse to the right to "Script". The "Script File Panel" will appear.

Enter the name of a file, the default is "fast.script", and then click on "Write Script". The script files are text files, you may modify or create them by using your favorite text editor.

You may use the "Script File Panel" to read in and execute an existing script. You may also tell FAST to execute the commands in a script file when you start FAST. To have FAST execute the commands in the file "fast.script" instead of starting fast with the command fast, start fast with the command fast fast.script. FAST will start and execute the commands in the file "fast.script". You may now use modules to manipulate the data further.
