The sections included in this tutorial provide a hands-on way to
learn basic Velocity concepts and techniques. We demonstrate a number
of common Velocity applications: reading data, image processing, surface
reconstruction, and 3D visualization. Each section introduces basic Velocity
concepts and highlights some of the commonly used Velocity commands.
You don't have to read all of the descriptive passages that accompany each section. Simply perform the Velocity action shown in bold type in either the image or display application and observe the results. If you want more information about a specific command, you can read the explanations in the reference books.
Each section is a demonstration of a particular Velocity feature. We recommend that you walk through each short, interactive section to preserve continuity, since many commands rely upon previous commands. Each section assumes the most basic level of Velocity experience.
