Is your health care a professional throwing of dice?
Did you know that blood pressure is not constant but changes by more
than 50 mmHg each day in most people?
Did you know that many factors can affect your blood pressure? Not only physical
activitie but anxiety, other emotions, smoking, alcohol consumption,
among others.
Did you know that exposure to any of these stimuli affects blood
pressure differently depending on when they occur during the day?
Did you know that blood pressure disorders, if they are not treated, can
lead to various complications, including heart attacks, strokes, kidney
disease and retinopathy?
Did you know that treatment of blood pressure disorders can be optimized
by administering the medication at the right time?
These questions have been discussed on March 17-18, 1995 at a meeting
of the International Society for Research on Civilization Diseases and
the Environment. The participants reached a consensus based on
information presented here:
