Water Structure in Protein Macromolecules

This project is aimed at obtaining a better understanding of water molecules bound to protein macromolecules. This data-mining project uses MSI resources at the BSCL and BMSDL.

A previous project focused on analyzing the role of water molecules found in protein structures determined by x-ray crystallography. The goals were to determine the distribution of weakly bound water molecules relative to the center of gravity and to analyze the distance distribution of waters relative to charged sidechains.
