Molecular Biology Studies of Human Prostate Cancer

The FOXO1 protein functions as a tumor suppressor by regulating expression of genes involved in the cell cycle and apoptosis. The goal of this project was to understand the regulatory mechanisms of FOXO1 in prostate cancer. The researchers used software available through the Supercomputing Institute for DNA and protein sequence analysis.
