Matrix Converter Bases Power Electronic Transformers With Advanced Features

The objective of this project is to evaluate the feasibility of a novel arrangement of matrix converters and controls to implement a power electronic transformer with advanced features, which are critical in many defense-related applications. Replacing a normal transformer with a power electronic transformer will result in reduced size and weight and may also reduce the cost.
