Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic Modeling; Pharmacogenetic and Clinical Simulation Analysis of Chemotherapeutic Agents

This work aims to model the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of several fluoroquinolones against several genetically identified mutants of Streptococcus pneumoniae. Several PK and PD distribution values are being entered into Monte Carlo simulation routines. The researchers then conduct clinical simulation and prediction analysis to predict activity of the fluoroquinolones against different genetic variables expressed by the resistant mutants.
