Distributed Sensing for High-speed Disk Drives

This work focuses on the problem of air-flow characterization using an array of distributed sensors. The group is designing an air shroud and will perform a detailed computational fluid dynamics analysis to give an insight into the flow field of interest, leading to improved designs of high-speed disk drives. This analysis will also result in a system design with the best possible locations for the sensor network nodes.
