Development of Microelectronic Expression Array for Clinical Prognosis in Prostate Cancer

Several published studies suggest that RNA expression profiling utilizing microarrays may provide critical prognostic information. The development of clinical assays, based on such published studies, are needed since accurate prognostic information is not available by current techniques such as histopathology. This project used data derived from the literature, data available in existing datasets, and data generated in the researcher’s laboratory to develop and then clinically test a custom microelectronic prognostic array, utilizing an array platform manufactured for the clinical laboratory environment.
