Identification and Validation of miRNA Signature Profiles as Biomarkers for Colon Cancer Progression

The major goal of this project is to test the hypothesis that miRNAs are critical factors modulating the pathogenesis of colorectal carcinoma and can be used as potential biomarkers. miRNA profiles are identified and correlated with colon cancer progression and overall survival. Additionally, the researchers are determining the functional roles of the identified miRNAs in regulating the colon cancer phenotype.
