Translational Control in Cancer and Fibrosis

These researchers use genome-wide methods to model translational control in several major diseases, including fibrosis and lung and breast cancer. They perform resource-intense discovery of translation control mechanisms and use these to model translational deregulation. There is substantial support for an important role for translational deregulation in fibrosis and cancer, so understanding the mechanisms may lead to new therapeutic approaches.
