Modeling of Optical and Microwave Structures

These researchers have been involved in three modeling projects whose computational requirements necessitated use of the supercomputers. These projects include: using finite difference time domain codes to model three-dimensional photonic band gap structures; using integral equation methods and finite element techniques to model radio frequency coils for magnetic resonance imaging; and modeling metamaterials for microwave antennas and lenses.
