Carboxonium Ions and Organoboron Compounds
Carbocations are stabilized by oxygen atoms. This leads to unusual reactions, which have not been studied systematically. These researchers are exploring the effect of the heteroatoms at high levels of theory and studying the reactions that these species undergo.
The researchers are also studying organoboron compounds in their fluorescence and also as hydrogen storage materials.
