Properties of Semiconductor Materials and Devices

These researchers are working on the electronic structure and related properties of semiconductor materials and novel devices. Recent research by this group has centered on electron transport simulations for large band-gap III-nitride materials and carbon nanotubes using the Monte Carlo technique. The current focus is the creation of device models for large gap semiconductor devices, in particular devices fabricated from organic materials (such as electrolyte gated organic field effect transistors) and on organic spintronic devices. The group may also use MSI for a new project that involves simulations of quantum dot light emitting diodes.
