Fluid Flow and Particle Dynamics Simulations

These researchers conduct simulations of fluid flow in a range of geological and geophysical processes. These include groundwater flow that is often coupled with heat and solute transport, multiphase-multicomponent fluid flow in geothermal regions, volcano-hydrologic modeling, and simulations of magma/lava and bubbly suspension rheology and emplacement of such suspensions in and on the earth’s crust to investigate volcanic eruption dynamics.
