Genomics of Pathogens of Food Safety Importance

These researchers are interested in understanding virulence mechanisms and colonization factors of Escherichia coli and Salmonella, plasmid-host chromosome interactions, and microbial community structures in the agricultural setting. Their approaches utilize next-generation sequencing and microarray to understand these research areas. The tools used at MSI are key to these analyses.
