Pharmacogenomics of Nucleoside Analogs

This research is focused on identifying and studying the genetic variations within the key candidate genes in the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic pathways of different anticancer nucleoside analogs, such as cytarabine, gemcitabine, and clofarabine. The project involves extensive genome sequencing and uses resources at the CGL. The researchers also perform genome-wide studies to identify predictors of drug response and toxicity.
