Advanced Energy Efficient Residential Roof

These researchers studied the structural and thermal design of stiffened foam sandwich panels for residential roof applications. The use of thin-walled sandwich structures for residential construction has several benefits, including reduced construction time, improved energy efficiency, and architectural benefits. The work focused on the balance between structural and thermal performance through the use of lightweight structures. Performance was validated through finite element analysis and testing. The results of this project can provide comprehensive design recommendations for panelized roof construction.
