GWAS Analysis of Behavioral Data

These researchers are analyzing genome-wide data on 660,000 genetic markers. Specifically, they are investigating whether these SNPs are associated with indicators of substance abuse, brain function, intellectual ability and achievement, and personality. The samples included approximately 8,500 participants in longitudinal research undertaken by the Minnesota Center for Twin and Family Research. Analysis involves fitting regression-based models and testing using standard statistical tests as well as permutation tests.
