Legume Crop Genomics

The first draft of the soybean genome sequence has recently entered the public domain. These researchers are interested in investigating the genome sequence, including identifying and building assays to study functions of redundant genes. They have generated a great deal of next-generation sequence data for soybean, including paired-end, exome resequencing, and RNA-Seq data. They are primarily using this data for comparative genomics and mutation detection purposes.
