Next-Generation Sequencing to Identify Alterations in Cancer Using Extreme Value Theory

These researchers are using high-throughput DNA reads from Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology and developing an expeditious computational method to discover alterations indicative of cancer. This work requires performing numerous simulations to determine the parameters necessary for detection of alterations. The researchers are using the UMR-MSI BCIB Computational Lab for this project.
