Data Management for High-Throughput Screening Facility

The University of Minnesota’s High-Throughput Screening (HTS) Facility is a campus-wide resource managed by the BioTechnology Institute. One of the primary services of the facility is to screen small molecule libraries against a wide array of protein- and cell-based assays. The HTS facility is running their data-management software program on the Oracle database servers managed by the Supercomputing Institute. The amount of data being processed on this database is continuing to grow with the number of projects handled by the HTS facility.
