Modeling DNA Dynamics

The Dorfman group focuses on understanding the structure and dynamics of DNA across a range of length and time scales through a combination of modeling and experiments. Current work ranges from capturing the complicated structure of short single-stranded DNA sequences to quantifying the dynamics of long double-stranded DNA in confined systems. The primary computational tools are Brownian dynamics, Monte Carlo, and molecular dynamics.
