Gene Expression in Helper T Cell Subsets
Helper T cells direct many different aspects of the adaptive immune response. They help B cells produce antibodies and enhance microbe killing by macrophages and cytotoxic T cells. These specialized functions are provided by different subsets of helper T cells. Microarray analysis has been performed on several helper cell subsets through the Biogenomics facility to search for candidate gene products that control their distinct functions. The researcher is now using Genespring software, available through MSI, to analyze the data.
