Minnesota Surgical Training Data Server

This project mainly uses MSI web and database servers for learning management platforms (LMPs) to facilitate data collection, access, and analysis for computer-based surgical training applications and validation studies across multiple institutes, clinics, or other related partners and educators for academic uses. The researchers have implemented and deployed one LMP on an MSI server for accessing data from endoscopic laser surgery training, and they are building the second LMP for another cystoscopic procedure training. This work will be configured as a common, remote data registration and management module for all surgical and medical training/education programs developed by the team at the CREST/Medical School’s simulation program. Visualization toolkits at MSI are also used for modeling a virtual surgery environment.
