RF Safety in High and Ultra-High Field MRI
Radio-frequency (RF) heating in high and ultra-high field MRI is a safety concern in humans wearing or not wearing conductive medical devices. Safe local and systemic RF heating thresholds are unknown in humans in health and disease. New, validated computational models are being developed using MSI resources to predict three-dimensional, transient in vivo temperatures and develop safe heating thresholds.
