Analysis of Genes and Proteins in the Intracellular Bacterium, Wolbachia pipientis
Wolbachia pipientis is an intracellular, Gram-negative member of the alphaproteobacteria. Wolbachia is a reproductive parasite of insects, and infects ovaries and testes. These researchers use genomics and proteomics to explore Wolbachia's interactions with host cells in mosquitoes (Diptera) and springtails (Collembola).
