CFD Analysis of Hydraulic Components

This project has two components: to develop innovative fluid power components that are compact and efficient  (the classes of components include digital hydraulic valves, digital displacement pump/motors, transformers, and surgical devices) and to develop an efficient compression/expander for use with compressed air energy storage. Computing resources are used to perform CFD and heat transfer studies to gain understanding of the physics and to enable improved design.
