Minnesota Supercomputing Institute, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN

The Supercomputing Institute is hosting a Workshop on Data Mining and Exploration Middleware for Distributed and Grid Computing in Minneapolis, Minnesota, September 18–19, 2003.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together researchers from the grid- and distributed-computing community, data mining researchers, and application scientists to explore the challenges involved in developing an infrastructure that allows exploration and mining of large data sets that are distributed across multiple sites, each of which may belong to different organizations and may have policies that limit access to the data and other resources.
