Genetics of Familial Kidney Diseases
This project seeks to answer the general question of how DNA sequence changes (mutations) shed light on kidney function in health and disease. The research covers families and mouse models with several forms of genetic kidney disease, including Alport syndrome, thin basement membrane nephropathy, familial autoimmune kidney diseases, and medullary cystic kidney disease. The project uses MSI resources to store and analyze DNA sequence data.
