Genomic and Proteomic Analysis of O-GlcNAc Function in Plants
This project seeks to understand the role of O-GlcNAc modifications on plant proteins. The primary focus uses mass spectrometry-based proteomic approaches to identify the plant proteins with this modification. A second component of the project uses molecular genetic approaches to investigate the role of this modification in plant growth and development.
A second unrelated project studies DNA viruses of plants. This project determines the sequences of these viruses, develops methods to detect the viruses and studies the functions of the viral genes.
