Individual-Oriented Pathway Analysis for Cancer Mutation Data

Abstract:

Individual-Oriented Pathway Analysis for Cancer Mutation Data

Cancer mutation studies have revealed complex heterogeneous genomic landscapes of human cancers. This project will study whether cancer mutations occur in a core group of biological processes that can be described as gene sets. The researchers intend to explore whether certain groups of pathways or biological processes are more frequently mutated through statistical computation. They will use sequencing data generated from mice insertional mutagenesis data as well as human whole-genome sequencing data to compare the pathway enrichment results.
