Proteomic Analysis of Hippocampal Synaptic Proteins Derived From Early Iron Deficency Rats
Early-life iron deficiency affects over 30% pregnancies and infants worldwide and results in persistent learning deficits in spite of prompt treatment. To get insights into the molecular changes that underlie these deficits, these researchers use a systematic approach to pinpoint altered cellular networks and functions in animal models. They are using bioinformatics software available through MSI to mine data collected using iTRAQ and RNAseq.
