Vaccines and Pathogenesis Studies in Guinea Pig Cytomegalovirus
This group's work continues to focus on vaccine and pathogenesis studies using guinea pig cytomegalovirus as a model for human cytomegalovirus. This is the most common cause of congenital infection and is a major target for vaccine design. The Schleiss lab works on a number of strategies to test vaccine intervention strategies for this agent. This involves cloning, sequencing, and molecular biology applications.
