Whole Exome Sequence in Palmoplantar and Gingival Hyperkeratosis and Autosomal Dominant Mesomandibular Fibro-osseous Dysplasia
This work involves research into two conditions. Palmoplantar and gingival hyperkeratosis is a disorder that primarily palms, soles and the masticatory mucosa and it is one of the keratodermas. The causative gene is unknown. Whole exome sequencing is being performed in a family with this disorder. Also being studied is autosomal dominant mesomandibular fibro-osseous dysplasia, a unique self-limiting lower jaw condition in which the gene is unknown.
