Project Title:
Cell Cycle Control Proteins in Liver Regeneration and HCC

This project examines the role of cyclin D1 and other cell cycle proteins in hepatocyte proliferation, liver metabolism, and hepatocellular carcinoma. The researchers have unique datasets looking at the effect of cyclin D1 overexpression or knockdown on mRNA expression in the liver and hepatic cell lines. They also have data looking at the effect of cyclin D1 HNF4a binding in the liver by ChIP-seq. They use this data to further examine how cyclin D1 regulates metabolism in normal hepatocytes and HCC.
