Project Title:
Infectious Disease Ecology
These researchers are using MSI for three projects:
- Running simulations to evaluate the effect of various risk tolerances on the spread of COVID-19, mixed models for the prevalence of rabies across the U.S. eastern seaboard, and machine learning models relating contact network structure to the spread of disease
- Running simulations of network data for statistical analyses, generating contact networks from wild rodent capture data, and using permutation tests to simulate random networks and compare them to observed networks
- Running individual based models of disease spread in heterogeneous host populations
Research by members of the group has been featured on the MSI website:
- May 2021: Pipeline for Disease Transmission
- March 2019: Modeling How Diseases Spread
