Project Title:
CubeSat Team

The EXACT/IMPRESS project is a 3U CubeSat designed and built by a team of undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Science and Engineering, particularly from Physics and Aerospace Engineering. The small satellite carries a hard X-ray scintillator crystal and readout electronics to measure high-energy radiation from the sun and other astrophysical sources. Supercomputing resources are used to run simulations of the CubeSat and its environment, for example of the structure's thermal properties.
