Project Title: 
Modeling Semiconductor Film Growth and the Optical Behavior of Optoelectronic Devices

This group works across semiconductor materials for application in solar cells and optoelectronic devices. The researchers use computational finite element methods to model thermal and material transport in a thin film deposition apparatus in order to better optimize processing conditions and understand film formation. In addition, they plan to use finite-element optical modeling to simulate light behavior in thin film devices.
