These researchers investigate the brain mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs), particularly autism spectrum disorder (ASD). They have brain imaging data collected in 40 children with and without autism spectrum disorder and have completed analyses of neuroimaging data from one of 12 studies funded by the "Autism Initiative and UMF." Resting fMRI data for 30 subjects were preprocessed and analyzed and should be published soon. The researchers have completed preprocessing steps for task fMRI data (two tasks) from 40 subjects and will be generating more files as they continue their analyses and prepare their manuscript. In addition, they have started two new neuroimaging projects this year: "Assessing Neural Change in Response to ASD Intervention" and "The Effects of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS) on Neurocognitive Domains within NDDs." Both studies include pre- and post-imaging sessions and the group anticipates collecting multiple scans from 20-30 participants during this period.
